~ The Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum (CSPM) is excited to announce the return of its 2025 lecture series after a summer hiatus. On Saturday, Aug. 9, the museum will host award-winning author Ted Conover in their Division I Courtroom. Conover, known for his books Newjack: Guarding Sing Sing and Rolling Nowhere: Riding the Rails with America's Hoboes, will present Cheap Land Colorado: Off-Gridders of the San Luis Valley.

The CSPM lecture series aims to provide diverse perspectives and unique insights on Pikes Peak regional history. These events are free and open to the public, but reservations are required through CSPM.org/LectureSeries.
In addition to Conover's lecture, the museum has also partnered with Colorado Humanities to present a film screening and discussion of The Five States of Colorado on Saturday, Sept. 20 from 2-3 p.m. On Saturday, Oct. 11 from 2-3 p.m., Pat Musick will present on New Deal Art.
