~ Colorado Springs - Starting this Sunday, Sept. 8, North Academy Boulevard will experience overnight lane closures between Voyager Road and Shrider Road for the next three weeks. This is to allow for repaving operations as part of the voter-approved 2C Road Improvements program.
The closures will begin at 7 p.m. each evening and all lanes will reopen at 7 a.m. the following morning. The purpose of these overnight closures is to minimize traffic impacts on the busy north-south corridor. Drivers are advised to take alternate routes such as East Woodmen Road or avoid the area altogether during these times.
