Colorado Springs: Mountain Metro free summer rides are back for 2025!

Trending...
~ As the summer months approach, Mountain Metropolitan Transit (MMT) has announced that it will once again be offering free rides to its passengers. This marks the fourth consecutive year that MMT will be participating in the Zero Fare Transit Grant program.

Thanks to Senate Bill 24-032, which was passed in Colorado, transit agencies are now able to receive grants aimed at promoting the use of public transportation during the summer months. This is especially important as ozone levels tend to be at their highest during this time.

Lan Rao, Transit Division Manager for MMT, expressed excitement about continuing to provide free fares for riders this year. "We encourage everyone to take advantage of this opportunity for a free ride this summer," Rao stated.

Passengers can enjoy free rides on all MMT buses as well as Metro Mobility paratransit services. For more information about MMT and its services, visit their website at MMTransit.com.
