On May 27, 2025, at approximately 12:54 PM, the Colorado Springs Police Department received a call for service regarding a bank robbery in the 1700 Block of East Cheynne Mountain Boulevard. When officers arrived on the scene, they learned that a single male suspect entered the bank and demanded money from the employees. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled the bank. Detectives from the Robbery Unit responded to take over the investigation. Over the next several months the CSPD Robbery Unit continued their investigation.

On July 22, 2025, an arrest warrant was obtained for the suspect, who was identified as 28-year-old Jourdain Espinoza.
On July 31, 2025, Mr. Espinoza was arrested without incident by members of the CSPD Tactical Enforcement Unit, K9 Units, Drone Unit, and Robbery unit.
