4th of July Symphony from Your Porch: The "4th of July Symphony from Your Porch" returns this year. Traditionally held in Memorial Park, the event will not be held in the park for the second year in a row due to COVID-19. However, like 2020, residents will have the option of viewing several different fireworks shows across the Pikes Peak region while listening to a patriotic concert through their radio. Residents are encouraged to watch the firework shows from their porch.
Those interested in listening to the radio broadcast can tune in to one of several radio stations: Sunny 106.3 FM, Y96.9 FM, KCME 88.7 FM, AM 740 KVOR, 92.9 Peak FM or the iHeartRadio App. KKTV News Channel 11 will also host a broadcast of the fireworks on KKTV.com and its Facebook page.
Residents can also expect a flyover of Black Hawk helicopters from Fort Carson preceding the fireworks. From approximately 5-6 p.m., all are encouraged to look to the skies as the helicopters fly above several of the firework locations.
Firework show locations can be found at COS4thOfJuly.org.
