~ Colorado Springs - Starting Monday, June 9 at 7 p.m., Brookside Street at South Nevada Avenue will be closed overnight until Tuesday, June 10 at 6 a.m. The closure will resume on Tuesday, June 10 at 7 p.m. and last until Wednesday, June 11 at 6 a.m. These closures are necessary for crews to perform asphalt milling and paving.
According to city officials, during these times Brookside Street will remain open to local traffic but turns between Brookside Street and South Nevada Avenue will not be permitted. Detours have been put in place to help drivers navigate around the closures.
For those traveling from S. Nevada Ave. to westbound Brookside St., the detour route is E. Navajo St. to S. Tejon St., then north to Brookside St. For those heading from S. Nevada Ave. to eastbound Brookside St., the detour route is E. St. Elmo Ave. to S.Wahsatch Ave., then north to Brookside St.
