DENVER ~ A Pennsylvania Volunteer Firefighter Chief, Corey Comperatore, lost his life while protecting his family at a Trump rally in Pennsylvania. The incident occurred during a failed assassination attempt against former President Trump. In honor of Comperatore's bravery and sacrifice, Governor Polis has ordered flags to be lowered to half-staff tomorrow, July 16, 2024.
Governor Polis expressed his condolences for Comperatore's family and friends during this difficult time. He acknowledged that there are no words that can ease the pain of losing a loved one, but he hopes that by lowering the flags in Colorado, they can honor Comperatore's life and the man he was.
