DENVER ~ Denver, CO - Governor Jared Polis of Colorado released a statement today to commemorate the third anniversary of the Infrastructure Investment and Job Act (IIJA), which was signed into law by President Joe Biden in November of 2021.

In his statement, Governor Polis praised the historic infrastructure investments made by the Biden-Harris administration, stating that they have not only improved roads and bridges but also boosted the economy, revitalized communities, and created thousands of clean jobs in emerging industries. He also expressed his optimism for a future where passenger rail is a reality in Colorado, clean energy innovation powers the state, and the workforce is equipped with the necessary skills for tomorrow's jobs.

Governor Polis was the first governor in the country to support this bipartisan federal law. Under his leadership, Colorado has become a national model for working with local communities to access funding from both IIJA and the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). This includes implementing a technical assistance program to assist local governments in securing funding from these acts. As a result, tens of millions of dollars have been secured for communities across Colorado.
