Colorado: Governor Polis Appoints Lyudmyla Lishchuk to the Morgan County Court

DENVER ~ Denver - Governor Jared Polis has announced the appointment of Lyudmyla ("Milla") Lishchuk to the Morgan County Court in the 13th Judicial District. This decision comes after the retirement of the Honorable Dennis L. Brandenburg and will be effective as of July 1, 2025.

Ms. Lishchuk brings a wealth of experience to her new role, having served as a County Court Judge in Baca County since 2021. In this position, she has presided over both criminal and civil cases. Additionally, she has been a Hearing Officer II for the Colorado Department of Revenue's Hearing Divisions since 2020.

Prior to these roles, Ms. Lishchuk held various positions within the legal field. She was an Attorney and Hearings Manager for the Board of Assessment Appeals from 2011 to 2019 and worked part-time at both the Law Offices of Alan G. Molk and Michael Dowling and Associates from 2012 to 2015. She also served as an Attorney at Reilly Pozner LLP from 2010 to 2011 and worked as a Judicial Clerk for Judges Mark Hannen and Robert Russell and Magistrate Kara Martin in 2010.

Ms. Lishchuk's impressive educational background includes a Bachelor's degree from Metropolitan State College of Denver in 2007 and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2009.
