Colorado: Governor Polis Appoints Andrew J. Hayden as District Attorney for the 15th Judicial District

DENVER ~ Governor Polis has announced the appointment of Andrew J. Hayden as the new District Attorney for the 15th Judicial District. This decision comes after the resignation of former District Attorney Joshua Vogel and will be effective as of October 5, 2024.

Hayden, who currently serves as the Assistant Deputy District Attorney in the neighboring 16th Judicial District, brings a wealth of experience to his new role. He has been in this position since 2024 and has a strong background in criminal prosecution.

Prior to this appointment, Hayden held various positions within the 16th Judicial District, including Chief Deputy District Attorney from 2012 to 2024 and Deputy District Attorney from 2009 to 2012. He received his Bachelor's degree from the University of California-Riverside in 2005 and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2008.

With his extensive legal background and dedication to justice, Governor Polis is confident that Mr. Hayden will serve the citizens of the 15th Judicial District with integrity and fairness.
