GREELEY - Today, Lt. Governor Primavera is signing legislation into law.

"We are making sure that all Coloradans have access to high-quality, affordable health care, and I was proud to visit Larimer and Weld Counties to sign important legislation to save people money on health care and make sure every Coloradan can thrive," said Lt. Governor Primavera and Director of the Office of Saving People Money on Health Care.

This morning in Denver, Lt. Governor Primavera signed HB23-1215 Limits On Hospital Facility Fees sponsored by Representatives Emily Sirota and Andrew Boesenecker, Senators Kyle Mullica and Lisa Cutter to increase transparency, provide patients with more information, and implement important protections around hospital facility fees. Lieutenant Governor Primavera also signed HB23-1228 Nursing Facility Reimbursement Rate Setting sponsored by Speaker Julie McCluskie and Representative Jenny Willford Senators Rachel Zenzinger and Jim Smallwood.

Lt. Governor Primavera also signed SB23-284 Ensure 12-month Contraception Coverage sponsored by Representatives Iman Jodeh and Ron Weinberg, Senators Jeff Bridges and Jessie Danielson to make sure Coloradans have access to reproductive health care services. Lt. Governor Primavera signed legislation into law to support and improve care for Coloradans who are facing eating disorders, including SB23-176 Protections For People With An Eating Disorder sponsored by  Representatives Chris deGruy Kennedy and Brandi Bradley, Senators Dominick Moreno and Lisa Cutter and SB23-014 Disordered Eating Prevention - Representative Mandy Lindsay, Senator Dominick Moreno.

Governor Primavera signed SB23-288 Coverage For Doula Services sponsored by Representatives Regina English and Junie Joseph, Senators Rhonda Fields and Janet Buckner to expand coverage for doula services in Health First Colorado to provide physical, mental health, and educational support to a birthing parent before, during and after childbirth.

At Arc of Weld in Greeley, Lt. Governor Primavera signed HB23-1197 Stakeholder Process For Oversight Of Host Home Providers sponsored by Representatives Mary Young and Ron Weinberg, Senator Jessie Danielson and SB23-196 Income Tax Credit For Retrofitting A Home For Health Reasons - Representative Mary Young and Naquetta Ricks, Senator Faith Winter to make sure Coloradans with disabilities have the resources they need to thrive.

At Summit Stone Health: Larimer County's Longview Facility, Lt. Governor Primavera signed legislation to build upon the Polis-Primavera administration's work to make sure Coloradans can access the high-quality care they need, including HB23-1153 Pathways To Behavioral Health Care - Representatives Ryan Armagoast and Judy Amabile, Senators Byron Pelton and Robert Rodriguez and SB23-064 Continue Office Of Public Guardianship sponsored by Representatives Marc Snyder and Ryan Armagost, Senators Bob Gardner and Joann Ginal.
