Colorado Springs, CO: The De La Vega Foundation and Colorado Phoenix Project held a successful event to support children with autism, raising over $11,000. The event drew nearly 1,000 attendees and featured sensory-friendly games, arts and crafts, and interactive performances.
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - ColoradoDesk -- The A Day In The Springs Summer Festival was a vibrant celebration of unity and community spirit, featuring 82 diverse vendors and an array of international cuisines. Entertainment spanned genres such as Rock, Jazz, R&B, Rap, Christian, and Reggae music, showcasing a fresh, dynamic Colorado Springs. Inspired by renowned events like Coachella, 88rising's HITC Festival, 626 Night Market, and the Boulder County Farmer's Market, the festival highlighted the rich diversity of the Colorado Springs community.
A particularly exciting development was the potential strategic partnership with the Indigenous People Festival to bring a similar multicultural event to Manitou Springs. "I'm very excited and optimistic about this potential partnership because autism recognizes no color, ethnicity, or socioeconomic status. As a Foundation, this is one challenge we MUST tackle as a united community because it profoundly impacts the future of our children," said Jonas Gonzales, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of The De La Vega Foundation.
