September 2025: Colorado Springs Airport Monthly Traffic Release

Trending...
~ Colorado Springs Airport (COS) experienced a significant increase in passenger traffic in September 2025, with a total of 217,349 travelers passing through the terminal. This marks an 8.7 percent increase compared to the same month last year.

According to reports from the commercial airlines operating at COS, enplanements rose by 8.9 percent year-over-year, while seat availability grew by 6.6 percent. The overall load factor for this period was 81.3 percent, up 1.7 percentage points from September 2024.

Both Delta Air Lines and United Airlines recorded double-digit growth in enplanements during this time period. This growth can be attributed to each carrier's significant increase in seat capacity and continued investment in the Colorado Springs market.

In comparison to September 2024, all airlines serving COS showed a positive increase in passengers, further solidifying the airport's position as a key travel hub for the Pikes Peak region.

The Colorado Springs Airport remains focused on strategic, long-term growth through expanded air service offerings and airline partnerships. This commitment was highlighted during a recent press conference on October 17 when Art at COS was announced. For more information on this exciting development, visit coloradosprings.gov/ArtatCOS.
