FORT COLLINS, Colo., Aug. 27, 2025 ~ In response to the changing consumer behavior of delaying phone upgrades, OtterBox has launched its Fall 2026 collection featuring new case designs for a range of iPhone models. The collection includes options for the latest iPhone 16 models as well as trusted favorites such as the iPhone 13, 14, and 15.
According to a recent device upgrade survey conducted by OtterBox, nearly half of the respondents (49%) are choosing to hold onto their phones longer due to rising costs and economic uncertainty. Additionally, among iPhone users who have had their device for less than a year, 50% reported purchasing an earlier-generation model. This shift in consumer behavior highlights the importance of reliable and stylish phone cases.
OtterBox CEO Trey Northrup stated, "People are making smart, intentional choices with their tech. Whether it's holding onto a device longer or upgrading to a previous-gen model, our new color and style options are designed to protect what still works—while giving it a fresh look."

The survey data also revealed that changing phone cases can make a device feel brand new again for 84% of respondents. Furthermore, 55% stated that protection becomes even more important as their phone ages. With this in mind, OtterBox's new color and design options not only refresh the look of the device but also provide trusted protection.
One of the standout designs in the Fall 2026 collection is the Symmetry Series Clear with MagSafe. This is OtterBox's slimmest case yet and offers three times the drop protection of military standard (MIL-STD-810G 516.6). The collection introduces fresh designs with metallic accents such as gold foiling and opalescent finishes featured in Floral Romance and Opal Prism.
Another notable addition is the Symmetry Series Cactus Leather Embroidery which combines sustainable craftsmanship with bold embroidered designs on a plant-based leather alternative made from organic nopal cacti. The Enchanted Garden case, featuring vibrant floral embroidery on luxurious cactus leather, is a new design that adds a fresh, nature-inspired look to the collection.

The Commuter Series, Defender Pro Series, and Defender Pro XT Series have also been updated with new colorways and designs. The Offgrid case, featuring topographic artwork for an adventure-inspired look, is a new addition to these rugged and reliable cases.
Whether upgrading to the latest model or sticking with a favorite, OtterBox has consumers covered with cases that offer elevated style, everyday functionality, and superior protection. These designs are currently available for select devices on OtterBox.com, with more products set to launch this fall/winter.
To complete the setup, OtterBox also offers screen protection and mobile charging accessories designed to keep devices powered and protected wherever life takes them. With its Fall 2026 collection, OtterBox continues to meet the needs of consumers who are looking for reliable and stylish phone cases that can extend the life of their smartphones.
