Colorado Palliative & Hospice Care of Colorado Springs is Proud to Announce Jennifer Powell's Promotion to Palliative Program Manager
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - ColoradoDesk -- Founded on Christian principles, Colorado Palliative & Hospice Care of Colorado Springs is a locally owned and independently operated organization dedicated to palliative and hospice care. Colorado Palliative & Hospice Care of Colorado Springs is proud to announce Jennifer Powell has been promoted to Palliative Program Manager. Powell oversees the Palliative Care Program and acts in a consultative role while collaborating with the patients' referring clinician. Powell has over 13 years of experience in education, clinical research and nursing.
"We are so happy Jennifer has accepted the Palliative Program Manager position. She is a talented and very knowledgeable clinician and nurse. We look forward to continue working with her to deliver care and support to the growing senior population," said Jennifer Forrester, Executive Director.
As Palliative Program Manager, Powell performs initial patient assessment and plan of care. She manages all patients admitted to Palliative Care and communicates the changing needs of palliative patients. She oversees the Palliative Care Program and acts in a consultative role while collaborating with the patients' referring physician. Powell obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing Science from University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. She has previously worked as a Clinical Nurse in outpatient oncology at Cape Fear Valley Cancer Center, a Clinical Research Coordinator at Clinical Research Advantage and a Staff Registered Nurse and Clinical Scholar at Memorial Hospital – University of Colorado Health.
