Ulster County NY Holiday Mixer Guests Can Send Holiday Cheer to RUPCO's Senior Apartment Dwellers
KINGSTON, N.Y. - ColoradoDesk -- Celebrating its 65th anniversary, Ryan & Ryan Insurance Brokers, Inc. announced it is underwriting a series of events to support groups that echo the theme of the anniversary: "We all do well by doing good." The anniversary kicks off December 6.
The Ulster County Regional Chamber of Commerce holiday mixer, supported by Ryan & Ryan, will salute RUPCO, a leading affordable housing and community development group with a special focus on senior citizens living in RUPCO apartments.
The Wednesday, Dec. 6 mixer will take place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Ole Savannah Southern Table & Bar, 100 Rondout Landing, Kingston. The event is free to chamber members and prospective members who register in advance.
Magic of the Season Cards & Gifts
Guests will be invited to sign greeting cards and to pen a note of cheer for RUPCO's senior residents, many of whom have no family close-by. The cards were created by RUPCO's Maru Gonzales.

Guests will also be invited to contribute toward "goodie bag" gifts. The gifts and cards will be given to the same residents at RUPCO's Magic of the Season holiday breakfasts.
The business that is Ryan & Ryan today was opened December 1, 1958, when 27-year-old Robert J. Ryan, purchased the Duffy Agency in Rosendale, N.Y, and launched an insurance brokerage that today remains among a handful of privately-held agencies serving the mid-Hudson region.
"That day was frigid with a high temperature of 28-degrees and snows forecast in the days ahead. The success that has come about throughout the years has kindled a deep appreciation for the community we are part of," says Robert J. Ryan, Jr. president of the firm now based in Kingston.
Our Community Focus
"I have learned to see community as a quilt made up of shared values. Relationships, cooperation, mutual support, and active civic participation contribute to the outstanding quality of life we share and establish a sense of belonging. Together we meet needs as they arise.
"Community has become the focus of our business. It is how we developed our 65th anniversary theme, 'we all do well by doing good'," explained Ryan.
