MESA COUNTY ~ In a tragic accident in Mesa County, two Colorado Department of Transportation employees lost their lives while on the job. Governor Jared Polis expressed his condolences in a statement released today, stating that the incident occurred when the employees had pulled over to fix a sign on the side of the road. As they were working, a passing vehicle struck them, resulting in the loss of three lives and one individual being hospitalized.
