~ Colorado Springs - Marksheffel Road will be temporarily closed to through traffic for two consecutive nights this week, according to city officials. The closure, which will take place on Monday, March 10 and Tuesday, March 11 from 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., is necessary for crews to move travel lanes into a new alignment.
During the overnight closures, drivers will be directed to use Peterson Road between Dublin Boulevard and Stetson Hills Boulevard via a signed detour route. Local access to the Mountain Valley Preserve neighborhood (Tarren Heights) will still be available from the south at Stetson Hills Boulevard.
In addition, starting on Monday night, Ryker Peak Drive will also be closed to all traffic entering and exiting the neighborhood at Marksheffel Road until June. This closure is required for crews to reconstruct the intersection. However, local access will still be maintained at Tarren Heights for residents of the neighborhood on the east side of Marksheffel Road.
