~ Colorado Springs Airport (COS) has reported a successful month of November 2024, with a total of 195,258 passengers passing through its terminal. Of these, 98,907 were enplaned at the airport. This brings the year-to-date enplanements to 1,136,473 and the total number of travelers welcomed to 2,266,326.
While there was a slight decline in November's numbers compared to the previous year, overall passenger and enplanement numbers have increased by 6.1 percent and 5.9 percent respectively. However, load factors did see a dip to 77 percent, which is 5.5 percent lower than the average for November 2024. The number of available seats also decreased slightly to 128,460, representing only a 0.5 percent change from last year.
Looking ahead to the future of COS, exciting developments are on the horizon. Allegiant Airlines has announced plans to begin new service in February 2025 with three nonstop routes: Phoenix/Mesa via Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport (AZA), Santa Ana/Orange County via John Wayne Airport (SNA), and St. Pete/Tampa via St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport (PIE). These routes will begin on February 12th and continue throughout the season.
