Colorado: Lt. Governor Dianne Primavera Recognized for Work in Health Care, Public Health

AURORA ~ Yesterday, the Colorado School of Public Health's 2025 Awards Banquet was held at the Anschutz Health Sciences Building in Aurora, where Lt. Governor Dianne Primavera was officially inducted as an Honorary Member of the Delta Omega National Honorary Society in Public Health. The Alpha Upsilon Chapter of Delta Omega, which is housed within the Colorado School of Public Health, selected Lt. Governor Primavera for her lifelong dedication to promoting health equity, public policy, and patient advocacy in Colorado and beyond.

In addition to her role as Lt. Governor, Primavera also serves as the Director of the Office of Saving People Money on Health Care. Under her leadership, the Office has been a strong advocate for reducing healthcare costs through initiatives such as reinsurance, the Colorado Option, and capping the cost of insulin. In her speech at the event, Lt. Governor Primavera shared her personal and professional journey that led her to public service. She spoke about her experience battling cancer four times and how it has shaped her belief that no one should have to fight for care or face illness alone.
