Colorado: Governor Polis Appoints Kathleen M. Tierney to the Arapahoe County Court

DENVER ~ In a recent announcement, the Governor of Colorado has appointed Kathleen M. Tierney to the Arapahoe County Court in the 18th Judicial District. The appointment, effective February 16, 2026, comes as a result of the retirement of the Honorable Michael J. Roche.

Ms. Tierney brings a wealth of experience to her new role, having served as a Senior/Assistant Chief Deputy District Attorney in the 18th Judicial District Attorney's Office since 2024. Her focus has been on criminal prosecution and she previously held positions as a Deputy District Attorney in both the 18th and 2nd Judicial District Attorney's Offices.

With an impressive educational background, Ms. Tierney earned her B.A. from the University of Scranton in 2015 and her J.D. from Penn State Dickinson Law in 2018.
