Colorado Springs: Public meeting Feb 18 to launch plan for creating safe, efficient travel for driving, walking, bicycling and using public transportation

Please join us on Thursday, February 18 to learn more about ConnectCOS, an innovative transportation plan, and how your input can help shape the future of how people move around Colorado Springs. The meeting will highlight the results of a recent community-wide survey of transportation challenges and opportunities in the areas of driving, walking, bicycling, and using public transportation.

This citizen survey showed that most people use cars to get around, but that congestion and travel times are their biggest factors in making travel choices. They also said they recognize the need for people to have accessible options for how to travel-- whether it be bike, by foot or using public transportation. The survey also identified some of the concerns that community members have such as, congested intersections, missing sidewalks to move people through neighborhoods, limited public transportation options, and a lack of connectivity for people to get to their destinations.
