Colorado Springs City Council set to appoint a new City Auditor

~ During the Colorado Springs City Council's Regular Meeting on February 25, 2025, a unanimous vote was made to appoint Natalie Lovell as the next City Auditor. The appointment ordinance was passed on first reading and pending approval of the second reading, Lovell will officially assume the role. She is set to be sworn in during the City Council Meeting on March 11th, 2025.

According to the City Charter, the City Auditor serves at the will of the Colorado Springs City Council and is appointed by ordinance. Lovell will be taking over for her predecessor, Jacqueline Rowland, who has held the position since 2021. Prior to joining the City of Colorado Springs, Lovell has been employed at Colorado Springs Utilities since 2016.
