This recognition is given to public schools that provide specialized services and support to military-connected students and their families.
This is the second year of the Purple Star Schools program, which designates schools and school districts that offer dedicated programs and resources for military-connected students. The designation is valid for three years.
Joining Commissioner Córdova and Governor Polis at the ceremony were representatives from the Military Interstate Children's Compact Commission, as well as military school liaisons from the United States Army, Air Force, and Space Force.
