DENVER ~ Governor Polis has announced the appointment of Kara E. Clark to the 8th Judicial District Court in Denver. This decision comes after the Honorable Susan Blanco was appointed to the Colorado Supreme Court, leaving a vacancy in the district court. Ms. Clark, who has been serving as a District Court Magistrate in the 8th Judicial District since 2024, will now take on this new role effective immediately.
With her extensive legal experience, Ms. Clark is well-equipped for this position. Prior to her current role, she served as an Assistant County Attorney in the Larimer County Attorney's Office from 2020 to 2024. She also has experience as a partner at various law firms, including Lamborne & Clark, LLC and Shufflebarger, Lamborne & Clark, LLC.

In addition to her professional experience, Ms. Clark is also a graduate of Cornell University and earned her J.D. from the University of Akron School of Law in 2009.
