~ Colorado Springs, CO - Southbound Peterson Road will experience a temporary closure this weekend for construction work on the U.S. Highway 24 and Peterson Road Project. The closure, which will span from Saturday, Feb. 14 to Monday, Feb. 16, will affect the stretch of road from U.S. Highway 24 to the north gate of the Peterson Space Force Base.
According to officials, the closure has been carefully coordinated with the Peterson Space Force Base. While the intersection at Peterson Road and Space Village Avenue will remain open, all lanes traveling southbound will be closed during this time. Northbound travelers will also be impacted as they will not be able to access the intersection but can use a slip lane to travel east at Space Village Avenue.
