~ Colorado Springs, CO - On Tuesday, Feb. 25, visitors to Garden of the Gods Park will experience limited access due to an ongoing waterline installation project. While the park will remain open, certain areas and access points will be affected.
According to officials, Garden Drive will be closed all day between Juniper Way Loop and Garden Lane. Additionally, Juniper Way Loop will be closed from 5 a.m. until after noon at Gateway Drive. During this time, visitors can park in Lot 1 and enter the park via the Gateway and Bretag trails or drive in via Ridge Road. It is important to note that vehicles must exit the park at Gateway Road during this closure.
Despite these closures, the Garden of the Gods Visitor and Nature Center will remain open and offer educational resources and amenities for guests. Popular attractions such as Balanced Rock, Siamese Twins, and the Garden of the Gods Trading Post can still be accessed via Beckers Lane and Garden Lane.

The ongoing waterline installation project has reached a significant milestone with over 75% completion. This closure marks an important step in crossing a major roadway within the park, which will help minimize future road closures. Progress is also being made on an ADA trail connecting Parking Lot 4 to Central Garden.
Looking ahead, on Wednesday, Feb. 26, the Columbia Road entrance into Garden of the Gods will close, impacting the Stausenbach and Scotsman trails until the end of April. Trail users are advised to follow posted detour signs during this time.
