~ The City of Colorado Springs, along with its partners, is hosting a free informational session called "Renter Rights 101" on Wednesday, March 12. The event will take place from 5:30-7:30 p.m. and can be attended either in person at The Independence Center or virtually through the provided link.
Led by Colorado Legal Services attorney Clinton Albert, the session aims to educate residents on various topics related to renting, such as lease basics, reasonable accommodations and modifications, deposits, repairs, eviction, and recent legislation on housing matters in Colorado. Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn about other community legal and housing resources.
It is important to note that the presenters will not be able to provide legal advice for individual situations. However, they will be available to answer general questions and provide information.
