On Tuesday, the Colorado Springs City Council unanimously passed a resolution declaring February as Therapeutic Recreation Month. This resolution serves to highlight the significant impact of the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Therapeutic Recreation Program (TRP) and its dedication to improving the lives of individuals with disabilities in the community.
According to Britt Haley, Director of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services, the Therapeutic Recreation Program plays a crucial role in providing individuals with disabilities the opportunity to participate in meaningful and inclusive activities.
