The Colorado Springs Airport (COS) has been awarded a significant grant of $5.8 million from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for the ElevateCOS terminal construction project. This grant, designated for 2025, is part of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law's expanded eligibility.

The ongoing ElevateCOS project aims to improve approximately 63,000 square feet of the existing terminal, including passenger movement and related areas. The airport's share of the funding will specifically go towards renovating existing terminal hold room areas to enhance the movement of passengers and baggage.
