~ Colorado Springs Airport Receives $5.8 Million Grant for Terminal Construction Project
The Colorado Springs Airport (COS) has been awarded a significant grant of $5.8 million from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for the ElevateCOS terminal construction project. This grant, designated for 2025, is part of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law's expanded eligibility.
The ongoing ElevateCOS project aims to improve approximately 63,000 square feet of the existing terminal, including passenger movement and related areas. The airport's share of the funding will specifically go towards renovating existing terminal hold room areas to enhance the movement of passengers and baggage.

This grant marks phase three of the ElevateCOS terminal construction project, which focuses on improving four gates and related areas. According to Greg Phillips, Director of Aviation for COS, this systematic approach to terminal renovation is crucial in maintaining the unique customer experience that guests have come to associate with COS.
"We're excited about this news and our success with securing this grant," said Phillips. "It will further enhance our modernization efforts and help us preserve our commitment to providing exceptional service."
