DENVER ~ In a recent announcement, Governor Polis has appointed Melanie S. Morgan to the San Miguel County Court in the 7th Judicial District. This decision comes after the resignation of the Honorable Sean K. Murphy and is effective immediately.

Ms. Morgan brings a wealth of experience to her new role, having served as Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Morgan Pilate LLC since 2007. Her practice focuses on criminal defense and civil matters, making her well-equipped for her new position.

Prior to this, Ms. Morgan founded the Law Office of Melanie S. Morgan in 2001 and worked as an Associate Attorney at the Law Office of Joseph D. Johnson, Chtd. from 1993 to 2001.

Her impressive credentials include a B.A. from Kansas State University in 1989 and a J.D. from the University of Kansas School of Law in 1993.

With her extensive legal background and dedication to justice, Ms. Morgan is sure to make a valuable contribution to the San Miguel County Court.
