Colorado: Governor Polis Appoints Craig P. Henderson to the 21st Judicial District Court

DENVER ~ In a recent announcement, Governor Polis has appointed Craig P. Henderson to the 21st Judicial District Court in Denver. This appointment comes as a result of the resignation of the Honorable Richard T. Gurley and will officially take effect on June 1, 2024.

Henderson brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having served as a Mesa County Court Judge in the 21st Judicial District since 2006. During his time on the bench, he has presided over both criminal and civil cases. Prior to this, he worked as a Deputy District Attorney in the 21st Judicial District Attorney's Office from 2002 to 2006.

His legal career also includes positions as an Associate Attorney at Treece, Alfrey, Musat & Bosworth from 2000 to 2002, Deputy District Attorney in the 14th Judicial District Attorney's Office from 1997 to 2000, Deputy District Attorney in the 13th Judicial District Attorney's Office from 1996 to 1997, and Associate Attorney at Law Office of S.A. Scimeca in Kansas from 1994 to 1995.

Henderson holds a Bachelor of Science degree from McPherson College and earned his Juris Doctorate from Washburn University School of Law in 1994. With his extensive background and qualifications, Henderson is well-equipped to serve on the esteemed 21st Judicial District Court.
