~ Colorado Springs Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services (PRCS) is inviting the public to an open house on Wednesday, Jan. 22 to discuss the master and management plan for Fishers Canyon Open Space. The event will take place from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at Cheyenne Mountain Junior High School.

During the meeting, there will be a brief presentation introducing the draft master and management plan. Attendees will have the opportunity to share their thoughts, ask questions, and collaborate with PRCS project managers and the planning team following the presentation.

According to David Deitemeyer, senior program administrator for Trails, Open Space and Parks (TOPS), community participation has been crucial in shaping the draft plan. He expressed gratitude towards the community for their input and looks forward to further discussions at the open house as they work towards finalizing a plan that balances recreational opportunities with cultural and natural resource protection in Fishers Canyon Open Space.
