~ Colorado Springs Police Department Seeks Public Assistance in Locating Missing Mother and Child
The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) is asking for the public's help in locating 18-year-old Caterra Poma and her 11-month-old daughter Zelaya Rose Poma-Davis. According to a press release issued by the CSPD, officers from the Stetson Hills division responded to a call on September 13, 2024, regarding a possible violation of a court order.
The mother of the child, Caterra Poma, had reportedly agreed to meet the child's father at a Texas Roadhouse in order to say goodbye before leaving the state. Despite there being a protection order in place due to a previous domestic violence incident between the two parents, the father agreed to meet with Poma. However, when he stepped outside to retrieve a diaper bag, Poma took their daughter and left. Attempts to contact Poma have been unsuccessful.

As a result of this incident, an arrest warrant for violation of protection order was issued for Caterra Poma. The CSPD has been actively searching for her and her daughter since then. It is known that Poma frequently travels between Denver and Colorado Springs and has recently been to Atlanta, Georgia. It is believed that she may be planning to return there with her daughter.
Today, an El Paso County Court hearing was scheduled regarding custody of Zelaya Rose Poma-Davis. The court granted custody to the child's father.
The CSPD is urging anyone who sees Caterra or Zelaya or has any information about their whereabouts to contact their non-emergency line at 719-444-7000. Any information provided will be greatly appreciated as authorities continue their search for this missing mother and child.
