AUA, CIMT Forge Agreement Creating Med School Pathway for Canadian Students

MANHATTAN, N.Y. & MISSISSAUGA, Ontario - ColoradoDesk -- American University of Antigua College of Medicine (AUA) and the Ontario-based Canadian Institute of Management and Technology (CIMT) have entered into an agreement that provides a preferred admissions pathway for aspiring Canadian medical school students. Under the terms of this agreement, CIMT students who complete CIMT's prehealth program,  maintain strong undergraduate GPAs and meet AUA's  admissions requirements will be automatically accepted into AUA's medical doctorate (M.D.) program and will be eligible for up to $36,000 (USD) in scholarships offered by AUA to fund their education.

AUA is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities, enabling eligible students to qualify for government funded student loans through the Canada Student Loans Program (CLSP). Qualified AUA students are also eligible for Provincial and private student loans and grants.

Canadian graduates of AUA College of Medicine are eligible to complete residency and practice in Canada, as well as the United States, India, and the United Kingdom.
